Sauce Labs enters into definitive agreement to acquire AutonomIQ, leading provider of scriptless test automation solutions

Sauce Labs Inc., a leading provider of continuous testing solutions that deliver digital confidence, today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire AutonomIQ, a leading provider of scriptless test automation solutions. AutonomIQ leverages powerful artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities to help users quickly and easily create and execute tests for modern SaaS and low-code applications.

The planned acquisition of AutonomIQ complements the organisation’s existing expertise in Selenium, Appium, and other leading scripted test frameworks, enabling Sauce Labs to serve a broader range of users and use cases, said a statement from the company.

AutonomIQ is headquartered in SanJose, California, where it is being led by the founding team of Ram Shanmugam, CEO and Raj Rao, CSO and has its India headquarters in Bangalore, India, headed by Nataraj Narayan, MD. The company has its roots in Silicon Valley and Bangalore, India to support global customers across US, EMEA and Asia Pacific region and some of the world’s largest System Integration partners.

The acquisition by Sauce Labs Inc. is expected to close in February subject to customary closing conditions. More details on the nature of the acquisition are awaited from AutonomIQ’s key leaders - Ram Shanmugam, Raj Rao and Nataraj Narayan - post-close on the scale and capabilities this combination of Sauce Labs and AutonomIQ is planning to unleash on the testing community.
