Sasken's recruitment drive in FY 2004-05 laid the usual stress on skills in
wireless terminal software development and expertise in DSP, IC design,
application development, porting, testing as well as handset integration. The
growing possibilities in the smartphone market and multimedia applications and
codec engines which can drive video for wireless service providers will be key
focus areas in the coming year. Sasken also gained $9 mn in funding from New
Enterprise Associates and $3 mn from Nokia Growth Ventures.
