SAS held sway in the BI market in India with over 20% market share. The
growing importance of India in the overall gameplan of the world's largest
privately held software company was reiterated when global CEO Jim Goodnight
came calling. A number of new tools got launched-Retail Intelligence Solutions,
Financial Intelligence, Drug Development 3.0-and the newly enhanced version of
the SAS enterprise BI server. New partnerships were formed with Datamatics
Technologies and Wipro. SAS India also tied up with IIIT-Bangalore and B2K
Corporation to launch data mining and business analytics courses.
