Digital Radiography - Smarter Digital X-ray with Clear high resolution Images

In the area of digital radiography, Samsung has launched three machines, the XGEO GC80, XGEO GU60 and the XGEO GR40 which cater to requirements across all Digital Radiography market segments. Targeted at large and medium-sized hospitals, the digital radiography machines are incorporated with the ultrasensitive Flat Panel Detector with the proprietary ALDAS (Advanced Low Dose Amorphous Silicon Sensor) technology. ALDAS improves patient safety and the reliability of the diagnosis by acquiring high-resolution images with a very small amount of radiation.

The compact, light-weighted, and portable detector provides a better medical environment by improving user convenience and the efficiency of work. Furthermore, these machines are equipped with an outstanding post image processing technology ALCOS (Adaptive Local Contrast Stretching) that automatically determines suitable image conditions depending on the target body parts and tissues. This proprietary technology provides qualified images for diagnoses by applying high resolution image contrast and edge sharpness enhancement functions. Furthermore, intuitive Graphical User Interface makes it easier to use and understand the equipment, providing high levels of ease and convenience.

The XGEO GC80 an innovative and cutting edge digital radiography system, which reduces examination time for diagnoses. The Smart Stitching function in the XGEO GC80 automatically connects several images together without lines or overlapping regions to show an intact body part image that is bigger than the total area of the Flat Panel Detector . Thanks to Samsung's humanoid robot technologies, the user can also easily adjust or position of the Tube Head Unit or the 6-way Table using only one hand. The table is designed to move with great flexibility to help patients who are immobile or who have severe injuries to position themselves easily for a scan.

Offering enhanced Convenience and Usability within an ergonomic design, the XGEO GU60 has Flexible universal arm that can easily scan in a small space. It also has an Auto Positioning Function that remembers the most frequently used positions and automatically swivels the U-arm to those positions for a scan. The AEC (Automatic Exposure Control) function controls the X-ray dosage to prevent the patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation. Also the XGEO GU60 has an innovative LED lighting system that allows the patients to easily follow the progress of the scan. (Green - "ready", blue -"adjusting", orange - "scanning" and red - "emergency"). This user-friendly function makes it easy to check the status of the device. Furthermore, most functions of the XGEO GU60 can be controlled by a remote control, which allows the user to work with the scanner more conveniently without going back and forth between the scanning room and the control room.

Compact and light weight, the XGEO GR 40 improves diagnosis efficiency while the Advanced Low Dose Amorphous Silicon Sensor (ALDAS) guarantees low doses of x-ray exposure and premium imaging quality. The Samsung XGEO GR40 Detector Adapter converts conventional film-based analog X-ray systems into digital X-ray systems for quick results and high-quality images more efficiently. Also when purchasing the XGEO GR40 you have the option of obtaining the simple and elegant manual stand as well. The stand's ergonomic-design makes it easier to insert the FPD into the Detector Adapter.
