SAIL recruitment 2023 has been announced at the Bhilai Steel Plant, and applications have been invited for 60 graduate and 60 technician apprentice vacancies. Those selected will be engaged under Apprenticeship Act 1961, 1973 for a period of one year. The notification mentions that Chhattisgarh residents will be given preference over others, and applications from other states will only be considered if seats are left after filling it in with applications from residents of Chhattisgarh. Those selected will be paid a stipend, and stipend rates for graduate, and technician apprentices will be notified by BOAT, says the notification.
Who Can Apply for SAIL Recruitment 2023?
The notification mentions that graduate or diploma engineers with no prior apprenticeship or work experience may apply provided they are from the following streams:

The notification further clarifies that selected candidates will be engaged as apprentices, and upon the completion of one year apprentices will have no claim to permanent employment in SAIL. Only students who have passed out from government or private institutes are eligible to apply. The gap between date of passing of the qualifying exam and the date of engagement as apprentice must not exceed 3 years, says the notification.

Interested candidates are advised to go through the following important details issued in the official notification regarding applications and terms of employment:
- Last date for submitting applications is 19 February 2023, and applicants will have to register on the NATS portal.
- Bhilai Steel Plant will not be providing any travel allowance or accommodation to the prospective candidates.
- Selection process would be on merit basis based on the marks that candidates have received in their graduation.
- Selected candidates who do not to report at the training centre within two weeks of receiving offer letter will be rejected.
- Applicants have been advised to check the BOAT portal as well as their email ID regularly to keep themselves updated on the latest information on the recruitment process.
