Roach Appointed Chairman of TCS-FNS in Australia

TCS has announced that Neville Roach has

been appointed chairman of TCS-FNS, the Australian company established to

acquire Sydney-based Financial Network Services (FNS) in October 2005. He will

also be an advisor to TCS Australia. Roach is a well-known leader of the

Australian ICT industry having worked for IBM Australia from 1965 to 1980 when

he joined Fujitsu Australia, where he rose to the positions of chairman and CEO

before retiring in 2004. He also served as chairman of the Australian

Information Industry Association (AIIA) and president of the Asian Oceanian

Computing Industry Organisation (ASOCIO) and is on several Australian Federal

and State ICT industry development committees. More recently, he was the

founding chairman of National ICT Australia (NICTA). His current positions

include chairman of SmartInternet Cooperative Research Center, TAFE Global and

the Australia India Business Council and director of OneSteel Limited and the

Australian Academic and Research Network.
