Reliance, Lenovo jointly launch co-branded Android smartphones

Reliance Communications inks exclusive patnership with chinese PC maker Lenovo to redefine the CDMA device ecosystem in the country by launching a range of innovative smart phones in the country.

 Reliance-Lenovo partnership is aimed towards leading the next wave of Smart-phones and tablets across the country with the widest footprint of High Speed Data network of Reliance. The range of products and special customer plans will be available across 2500 Reliance stores and 1000 company stores of Lenovo.

Co- branded smart-phones will operate on the latest Android operating system with a dual core 1 GHz processor that supports all latest applications and comes with a strong battery life.

In a statement issued Thursday, the Indian telco said the partnership with Lenovo will "redefine" the CDMA device ecosystem in the country and will depend on its "dual core" network that straddles both GSM and CDMA signals.

 

Gurdeep Singh, president and CEO of the wireless business at Reliance Communication, said: "We are confident the unmet demand of an innovative CDMA smartphone with exciting features at an attractive price point, bundled with our most innovative 'All Share' plans will fulfil the demand of every customer on our superior network."
