Reliance AGM 2023: All the Key Highlights

Reliance AGM 2023 was held on 28 August, and the company has announced that it has set new records in creating employment with the addition of 2.6 lakh jobs across all businesses. The total number of RIL’s on-roll employees is ~3.9 lakh. Reliance also claims to have maintained its leading position in terms of revenues, profits, exports, market value, capital expenditure, employment generation, contribution to the exchequer, as well as social responsibility spending and impact 

 Reliance AGM 2023 Important Highlights

• Reliance Jio posted a high revenue of ₹1,19,791 crore and EBITDA of Rs 50,286 crore. Jio’s overall customer base has now crossed 450 million subscribers, reflecting a y-o-y revenue growth of over 20%.
• Per-user data consumption on Jio’s network has surged, with the average user now consuming over 25 GB every month. This translates to monthly data traffic of 1100 crore GBs, representing a 45% year-on-year growth.In a few years, despite COVID-19 disruptions, JioFiber crossed 10 million subscribers, each of whom consumes, 280+ GB of data per month.
• Through optical JioFiber, the company can currently connect around 15,000 premises daily. But with Jio AirFiber, the company claims that it can supercharge this expansion with up to 150,000 connections per day
• Jio AirFiber will be launched on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi on 19 September.
• Jio 5G holds potential to transform all sectors of economy, like Agriculture, Education, Healthcare, MSME sector. 
• Jio Set-Top box is gateway to a world of entertainment, from TV channels to streaming content, to large-screen games, to digital apps. The Jio Smart Home app includes eRemote for Jio Set-Top Box. 
• JioBharat is a gateway to digital independence for those who can't afford smartphones. Priced comparably to 2G featurephones, Jio Bharat is a 4G-enabled phone’ Akash Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Jio  
• JioBharat's UPI integration streamlines Direct Benefit Transfer from government, with easy balance checks and real-time notifications. Rs 123 per month plan includes unlimited voice and 14 GB data, 30% cheaper than others.
• Jio True5G Developer platform combining 5G network, edge computing, and a spectrum of applications and services was launched. 
• Jio True5G Lab, a facility designed to accelerate industry transformation located at Reliance Corporate Park was launched.
• Reliance Retail posted revenue of Rs 2,60,364 crore in FY23. An EBITDA of Rs 17,928 crore and a net profit of Rs 9,181 crore has been achieved.
• Reliance Retail is one of the largest employers in the country, with nearly 2.5 lakh on-roll employees.
