Aegis, the outsourcing arm of Essar Group, has taken over the company by
buying 59% stake for Rs 282 crore. But before that, in FY10, AGC managed to hold
its ground by targeting fresh verticals like healthcare and hospitality, and
winning some crucial deals like the Holiday Inn in Cochin. Partnerships were
high on the agenda and the company joined hands with TIV Operations Group and
TCS for IT outsourcing. Former Cisco and D-Link head, Jangoo Dalal joined as
India MD; while Vinod S Nair was appointed as MD.
