The slowdown hit the company hard and its performance took a beating–revenues
went up only marginally (4.4% growth) from Rs 102 crore to Rs 106.5 crore. 3Com
adopted a single-distributor model, entering into a strategic partnership with
Tech Pacific, capitalizing on the latter's strong presence in the networking
segment. Major orders bagged during the year were Park Hotel, Innodata, Sriram
Pistons, IIT Guwahati and a repeat order from Escorts. The company also launched
a new range of switching products and expanded its W-LAN range.
