Job content and company image emerge as strength areas for
TCS with scores on each of these parameters either exceeding or at par with the
industry average. It has identified attrition management, recruitment and
expectation management as some of its key challenges. To handle these
challenges, TCS has laid out a well structured career plan for employees. In
addition to basic trainings, employees are also offered additional training to
develop domain knowledge. This allows them to also grow horizontally at the
workplace.

A well-devised mechanism tracks performance, and key performers are given an
option to move into job roles close to their preference. Performers are also
rewarded suitably through pay per performance. Employees expressed very high
degree of satisfaction towards the company's compensation structure and the
perks and benefits. However, there was some dissatisfaction on the overall
company culture and infrastructural facilities.
