New Update

Continuing its efforts to improvise on HR practices and winning its
employees hearts, Datacraft has succeeded this year to secure a place amongst
the top ten employers. Post its merger with the Dimension Data Group last year,
Datacraft could build on its company image even stronger and better. The
development has not only worked to impress its clients, but has reassured
employees about its enhanced global exposure.

The company has fared below average in retaining its employees as its
attrition rate has gone up substantially. And last year being the year of
slowdown, this is a concern area as job hopping was the last thing that
employees indulged in organizations. Layoffs were lesser in the company compared
to many of its counterparts. Nonetheless, despite no cut in salaries, Datacraft
minimized its annual hikes as its business was affected due to the global
recession. Deficit in salary packages, hikes and perks offered has been a pain
area for Datacraft earlier also. Measures to further downsize the annual hikes
have dissatisfied its employees to a large extent. Although employees are highly
satisfied with the kind of job exposure they get in the company, many felt a
little stressed, primarily due to the increased work load put on them to beat
the slowdown effects.

The company has, however, scored well in maintaining a transparent and
cohesive appraisal system much to the delight of its employees. Various
initiatives undertaken by Datacraft to duly recognize special efforts and good
performance by employees is what the company can boast of.

Training is another strong area for Datacraft. The company organizes various
e-learning training programs throughout the year to upgrade both technical and
managerial skill-sets across all levels. However, extensive training programs
were kept on hold last year as a cost-cutting measure. One major initiative
taken by the company was to build a technical competency framework for its
employees that will help Datacraft to identify the core technical competencies
of its employees and module training programs to enhance their technical
skill-sets and help them perform better.
