Part of the US-based Syntel Inc and DQ's new 'MNC Software Exporters'
List', Syntel India transformed itself from being a staffing firm to a
projects player–in essence, from an onsite resource supplier to offshore
development center. That transition phase is about to end and the company is
looking at a major scale-up in the projects domain. Presently, of nearly 2,600
employees of Syntel Inc, 1,800 are with the Indian entity. The operating space
comprises app lifecycle projects, including packaged applications, Web-based and
e-commerce projects, and the newly-added strategic solutions unit.
