Pushing its partner program and promoting high capacity, high performance
driveswere clear focus areas for Seagate in FY10. Even as it spread awareness
amongst its channel partners, service issues like delays in replacing defective
products, product packaging and demands for original bills irked dealers,
especially in tier-3 cities. Slowdown impacted hardware purchase, but business
came from storage upgrades. It continued to launch new products and focused on
its new multiple interface seriesGoFlex.
