In FY10, Datacraft had its evolution from a network integrator to an
end-to-end SI. The increasing contribution of services to its overall revenues
(48%), thanks to the increasing focus on managed services (75% of services
revenues); professional and training services contributed the rest. In addition
to network infrastructure management, security, UC and performance optimization,
the two new focus areas were data center storage management and its Microsoft
practice. The Cisco acquisition of Tandberg too helped Datacraft strengthen its
UC practice. A major deal at SBI Mutual Fund involving the rollout of contact
center solutions, performance optimization and unified communication with speech
recognition best exemplified Datacrafts new-found end-to-end expertise.
Both BFSI and media & communications at 30% were the key revenue generatorsDatacraft
clinched an important multi-year infrastructure as a service deal in a large
regional rural bank (this had the financial inclusion aspect too). Innovation in
commercial models (trying to convert capex to opex modes) as well as technology
(developing new green data centers) helped Datacraft strengthen its presence
across all these domains.
