Last year too VMware channeled its energies into building India as a market
for both its virtualization and cloud computing services. And the move has
reaped dividends as enterprise customers like Mahindra & Mahindra, Essel Propack,
Chitale Dairy, Reliance General Insurance, etc, turned to VMware. The company
also partnered with Bharti Airtel to allow the latter to expand its managed
computing services. The collaboration targeted cloud based computing services
offering web, mail, database, transaction, disaster recovery, co-location and
other managed services.
