Indias mobile explosion boosted SanDisks growth in India, since the mobile
handset market represented the largest application segment for its flash memory
based cards. As it consistently grew in the last few years, SanDisk also worked
with key retailers and distributors for a broader range of its products like
Sansa music players, Cruzer USB flash drives and digicam cardsRashi Peripherals
(its national distributor) itself did Rs 78 crore worth SanDisk business in
FY10. The company doubled its headcount in its SanDisk India Device Design
Center
