Both the software and education businesses of SQL Star International were
affected due to the slowdown. The company faced a reversal as revenues slipped
by 10.5% to Rs 43.45 crore. And in a year of slim margins and increased pressure
on billing rates, net profit was down 94% to Rs 29 lakh, while and operating
margins continued to be under tremendous pressure. The company, however,
announced a series of measures to realign its resources and cost structures,
which will help in the consolidation of operations.
