With no movement in its topline, it was a flat year for McAfee. It moved out
of the UTM firewall market, but continued to focus on intrusion prevention
solutions, gateways and corporate firewalls. It added channel partners in Sri
Lanka and Bangladesh; but tried to consolidate its channel business and restrict
the number of distributors. Key vertical focus for McAfee last year were BFSI,
telecom, ITeS and government. Its India director Kartik Shahani was replaced by
Ambarish Deshpande.
