For Apcom, the vendor of DAX brand of modems and distributor of networking

products, the year that went by was tough–the company garnered revenues of Rs

51 crore, against Rs 52 crore in the previous year. While the company was able

to increase modem sales by 7%, the crash in price points saw the overall

profitability taking a beating. During the year, Apcom sold 21,000 external and

162,000 internal modems.
