A rare exception in a year that saw most companies bleeding, RMSI saw net
profits zoom three-fold, from Rs 9.8 crore in the previous year to Rs 27.5 crore
in fiscal 2001-02. The company earned a major chunk of its revenues (63.3%) from
exports to the US, followed by Europe (19.5%) and Japan (15.2%). In April, RMSI
was acquired by DMG Information, the business information division of the Daily
Mail and General Trust. It will now operate within the DMG Information portfolio
of holdings.
