Spice Net Ltd, formerly known as Modi Olivetti, was set up in 1989. As a

systems integrator, the firm has strategic alliances with IBM, Acer,

Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, Novell, D-Link and Accton. The second half

contributed 58% to total revenues. The company established the Olivetti PR2

Passbook printer in the banking segment with a dominant marketshare.

This product is sold and supported directly by the firm, as well as through

its OEM network, which includes players like Compaq, HCL, Wipro, Zenith, CMC and

PCS. The company also manufactures the "Spice Net" brand of PCs and

servers.
