Newgen Unveils Enhanced OmniDocs v6.0
Newgen Software Technologies has launched its latest version of Document
Management System (DMS) solution, OmniDocs 6.0. OmniDocs is a scalable, secure,
multi-user DMS, which allows users to manage image as well as electronic
documents in a single central repository that can be accessed and shared between
multiple users and multiple locations.
Cisco Unveils Nexus 7000
Cisco has launched its Nexus Series, data center-class switching platforms
to meet demands for next-generation mission-critical data centers. The Cisco
Nexus 7000 Series combines Ethernet, IP, and storage capabilities across one
unified network fabric. It features Trusted Security (TrustSec) architecture and
an advanced operating system, the Cisco Nexus Operating System (NX-OS), and the
Cisco Data Center Network Manager.
BenQs New LCD Monitor
BenQ has unveiled its new 19inch wide LCD monitor in the Indian market. The BenQ
E900WA LCD monitor is equipped with an in-built speaker. The monitor is Energy
Star certified for reduced power consumption. BenQs Senseye and Photo
Technology offer a variety of preset modes that provide instant settings for
different usage scenarios. The additional sRGB mode ensures on-screen color
accuracy. The BenQ E900WA LCD monitor will be available for Rs 9,400.
Low-cost PC by ASUS
The low-cost PC segment in India is hotting up, now with global technology
major ASUS jumping into the fray with the launch of its Eee PC, priced at Rs
18,000. This follows similar launches by HCL, which launched its MiLeap X series
laptops that were priced at around Rs 14,000. The laptop was earlier launched
across many countries and in India, it compares with an average notebook price
of around Rs 40,000.
HP Partners Dimensions
Hewlett-Packard India and Dimensions Innovation Labs (Dimensions), education
technology solutions provider, launched the Campus Management Solution to
facilitate effectiveness in campus administration.
SP1 for Vista
Microsoft Corporation recently released Service Pack 1 for Windows Vista to
manufacturing for the first set of languagesEnglish, French, Spanish, German,
and Japanese. Vista SP 1 is the first major package of updates and fixes for
Windows Vista operating system.

Tadiran Telecom has announced the launch of new solutionsCoral IPx Office and

Zimbras New Suite
Zimbra, a Yahoo! company, has announced the availability of Zimbra Collaboration
Suite (ZCS) 5.0. ZCS 5.0 has incorporated hundreds of enhancements. ZCS 5.0
extends Zimbras best-of-breed anywhere access on the desktop.
Google Tools on SaaS
Google has launched security tools for email filtering, encryption and archiving
on a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model. Googles security technology would keep
junk mail and potential viruses at bay while protecting against leak of
confidential information through email.
IBMs New Product
IBM has announced the launch of new solutions, products and services,
jointly with Cognos, the company it acquired in November 2007. The company has
launched 10 new and enhanced IBM solutions for banking, retail, healthcare,
government, life sciences, and manufacturing, etc.
MS launches Ergonomic Desktop
Microsoft Hardware has launched its next-gen ergonomically designed desktop,
Natural Ergonomic Desktop 7000. The desktop comes with an innovative shape of
the keyboard and mouse, which provides comfort and productivity. The Natural
Ergonomic Desktop 7000 features 2.4 GHz wireless technology, which allows users
to enjoy a security-enhanced connection and the keyboards advanced ergonomic
design with soft touch materials encourage better wrist and arm alignment.
Websense launches Websense Data Discover
Websense has launched Websense Data Discover, a new software designed to help
businesses automatically identify and understand confidential and sensitive data
in their organizations. Websense introduced Websense Data Discover to meet the
burgeoning need that has emerged because of this growth in data. The new

Dell, Microsoft join RED
Dell and Microsoft have announced a joint effort to fight AIDS in Africa
with each purchase of the RED branded Dell personal computers. The companies
would make a combined contribution of $50-80 to the Global Fund, the program to
fund programs to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria, depending on the PC
purchased. The purchase of a Dell RED printer would generate a $5 Dell
contribution.
