Power Grid recruitment 2022 for engineers is currently being conducted through GATE 2021 scores for assistant engineer trainee vacancies

Power Grid recruitment 2022 for engineers is now being conducted for 105 assistant engineer trainee vacancies for which eligible candidates will be selected through their GATE 2021 scores. Selected candidates will be engaged at Power Grid and the Central Transmission Utility of India Limited (CTUIL), which is a unit of Power Grid. Those selected will be paid a salary of Rs 40,000 initially, which will then be increased to Rs 50,000 post the training period. 

Who Can Apply for Power Grid Recruitment 2022 for Engineers?

The latest Power Grid recruitment notification says that there are are total of 105 vacancies for which candidates with a full time BE, BTech or BSc in engineering from a recognised university or institute with a minimum of 60 percent marks from the following streams of engineering:

• Electrical.
• Electrical (power).
• Electrical and electronics.
• Power systems engineering.
• Power engineering (electrical).
• Electronics.
• Electronics and communication.
• Electronics and telecommunication.
• Electronics and electrical communication.
• Telecommunication.
• Civil engineering.
• Computer science.
• Computer engineering.
• Information technology.

Applicants should have also cleared the corresponding GATE 2021 examinations as well. The selection process consists of normalized marks obtained out of 100 in the corresponding paper of GATE 2021, behavioral assessment, group discussion and personal interview.

Interested and eligible candidates will have to submit online applications before 20 February 2022.  GATE registration number. as appearing on the GATE- 2021 admit card needs to be entered carefully in the online application form. Upon completion, the candidate should submit the online application by clicking the Submit button at the bottom of the page. If the same is accepted, the system will generate a unique registration number which will appear in the completed application form, says the notification.
