PM Modi, while stressing on a self-reliant India, announced a financial stimulus package of Rs 20 lakh crore. While more details on the package will be announced over the days to come by Nirmala Sitharaman, finance minister of India, the prime minister stressed that this package will be aimed at the middle class that “honestly pays taxes and contributes towards the economy” and businesses of the country.

PM Modi said that the future of the country will depend on fiver pillars

  1. Economy,
  2. An infrastructure that’ll be the identity of modern India,
  3. A system that will be technology-driven,
  4. Demography, and
  5. Supply chain wherein each stakeholder of the supply chain will be strengthened.

“To prove the resolve of self-reliant India, in this package Land, Labor, Liquidity and Laws will be paid special emphasis to,” said PM Modi. The prime minister also added that he hopes this package will give the country the much-needed economic push.

Furthermore, he announced that there will be an announcement made on Lockdown 4.0 before 18 May 2020. “The fourth phase of the lockdown, lockdown 4.0, will have a completely new look and new rules. Lockdown 4.0 will be based on the suggestions we are getting from various state governments. Information related to the same will be given to you Before 18 May,” said PM Modi.
