Persistent Acquires ControlNet

Persistent Systems, an outsourced product development company has acquired
ControlNet India, a 100% subsidiary of Campbell, a CA-based ControlNet Inc for
$2 mn. Located in Goa, ControlNet was established in 1998 as a technology
company development center providing product-engineering services in the
networking, ASIC design and embedded systems space. "This acquisition
provides Persistent Systems an excellent opportunity to venture into embedded
systems and application specific integrated circuit design," said Anand
Deshpande, chairman and managing director, Persistent Systems.
