The year 2004-05 saw the company, which broke away from the JV with HCL
Technologies in December 2003 re-position itself as a young, nimble, growing and
flexible Perot Systems Corporation subsidiary. And while it strengthened
capabilities in the application management, development and testing services, it
also leveraged the parent company's brand to tackle its biggest challenge of
the post HCL era-retaining all existing customers and growing repeat business
of between 25-40% from them. The year also saw the company strengthen its global
delivery model by ramping up its BPO center in Chennai. The healthcare vertical
brought in 20% of its revenues, and BFSI brought in 50%. While Europe and US
contributed 44% each, Japan put in 5%, with the rest of the world bringing in
7%. The parent company held its Board meeting in Bangalore.
