Tishman Appoints Sharma

Tishman Speyer has announced the appointment of Rakesh Sharma as the new
managing director, head, India. In this role Sharma will oversee a team of more
than 100 professionals, responsible for more than 40 mn square feet of
commercial and residential space in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai. He will
also lead Tishman Speyers efforts to grow its operations throughout India.

Persistent Appoints Hari Haran

Persistent Systems has appointed Hari Haran as president of the companys US
subsidiary. He will be based in the companys North American headquarters in San
Jose, CA and will be responsible for driving Persistents global sales,
marketing, and business development efforts. Most recently, Hari served as the
senior vice president of worldwide field operations at Openwave Systems, where
he led global sales, services and support.

Dell Promotes Lakshminarayan

Ganesh S Lakshminarayanan has been elevated as the new vice president of
Global Consumer Services and Support (GCSS). In his new global role, Ganesh will
be in charge of customer contact centers in India, UK and Ireland, Xiamen
(China) and the Philippines. Lakshminarayan will be responsible for streamlining
Dells consumer contact centers in these regions and consolidate technical
support and customer care for Dells customers worldwide.

Jing Hua Wu, a computer engineer with SiPort gunned down three of his senior
officials just the hours after they sacked him following an allegedly gunning
down of three his senior officials, stated a report from New York Times. Jing Wu
was associated with SiPort as a lead product test engineer. SiPort, a
four-year-old company based in Santa Clara, west of San Jose, specializes in
digital radio semiconductors.

Yahoo Search on for New CEO

Yahoo! has announced that its board of directors has initiated search for a
new chief executive officer. Jerry Yang, co-founder of Yahoo, has decided to
return to his former role as chief Yahoo upon the appointment of his successor
as CEO, and he will also continue to serve on the Board. Chairman Roy Bostock,
working with the independent directors and in consultation with Jerry Yang, is
leading the process of assessing potential candidates and determining finalists
for consideration. The search will encompass both internal and external
candidates, and the Board has retained Heidrick & Struggles, a leading
international executive search firm, to assist in the process.

Chandnani New Obopay President

Obopay, a service provider for payments via mobile phones, has announced
that Deepak Chandnani has joined as the president for Obopays Asia and Africa
Operations, considered key geographies for the US based organization. Prior to
joining Obopay, Chandnani served as the CEO for Wire and Wireless India, a Zee
Group Company.

Chandnani brings with him more than 28 years of top managerial experience
focused on consumer, banking and technology sectors by virtue of having held
multiple strategic and leadership roles in leading blue chip organizations like
Citibank, Hindustan Lever, Yahoo and NCR.

Symantec Elevates Enrique Salem

Symantec Elevates Enrique Salem Symantec, a provider in security and storage
solutions has announced the appointment of Enrique Salem as president and chief
executive officer with effect from April 4, 2009. It even mentioned the
retirement of John W Thompson, chairman and chief executive officer at the end
of the fiscal year. Following the transition, Thompson, 59, would remain
chairman of the board and Salem, 43, would also join the board of directors.

Sonal Shah is Obamas CTO

US President-elect Barack Obamas Transition Team have announced
Indian-American Sonal Shah, head of the philanthropic arm of Internet giant
Google, as part of a three-person team to coordinate technology, innovation and
government reform during the transition.The other two in the team are media
strategist Blair Levin and Julius Genachowski, former chief counsel to the
chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, said the President-elects
transition website.

Nvidia Announces First CUDA Fellowship

Nvidia, a provider of visual computing technologies, felicitated Prof PJ
Narayanan, Professor, Dean(R&D), and head of the Center of Visual Information
Technology, IIIT-Hyderabad with the CUDA fellowship for his early and innovative
work on massively parallel computing with CUDA. Jen-Hsun Huang, president and
CEO, Nvidia conferred the award on Prof Narayanan at a special function. Nvidia
also announced that it would donate a significant amount of equipment in support
of Prof Narayanans lab and a research grant of $25,000 for carrying further his
innovative research with CUDA over the next year.

Indian Techie Accused of Theft

An Indian software engineer working with AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) has
been charged with stealing sensitive documents from his former employer Intel .
Intel has filed a criminal complaint against Biswamohan Pani, former design
engineer for chipmaker Intel, in the US district court in Boston. The case is
that Pani made off with information valued by Intel at more than $1 bn.

Anil P Gupta is Honeywell President

Honeywell, a provider of IT services, has announced the appointment of Anil P
Gupta as president for Honeywell International India. Prior to joining Honeywell
he was associated with General Electric as marketing executive with the Utility
Coal and Gasification segment of GE Energy located at Schenectady, New York,
USA. Anil would provide direction to Honeywells businesses in India and help
drive continued growth in this very important market.

CSC Appoints Mancuso

CSC, a provider of technology-enabled solutions and services, has appointed
Michael J Mancuso as the companys vice president and chief financial officer,
effective December 2008. Mancuso will report to Michael W Laphen, chairman,
president, and chief executive officer, CSC. Mancuso replaces Donald G DeBuck,
who has served as interim CFO, since February 2008, and will continue in his
role as vice president and corporate controller.

Belkin Gets Mohit Anand

Belkin Asia Pacific has named Mohit Anand as its India country manager with
immediate effect. Based out of Delhi, Mohit joins the company from Microsoft and
would be in charge of leading Belkins strategy and business in India. His
charter at the outset is to enhance visibility for the Belkin brand, increase
consumer touch and experience across product lines, streamline and motivate
distribution channels, and to overall increase the companys market share in the
rapidly growing CE and IT market in India. Mohit Anand until recently
spearheaded Microsofts entertainment and devices division in India. An expert
in the Indian gaming industry, Mohit is also one of the founding members of its
trade association.

Dhar Resigns as Tata Communications CFO

Tata Communications has announced that its chief financial officer Rajiv
Dhar has resigned from the company effective November 28, 2008 to take on a
group CFO position with a company based in the Middle East. As an interim
arrangement until the appointment of a new CFO, the finance function will be
directly handled by N Srinath, the managing director and chief executive
officer.

Srinivasan to Head IPS India

Invensys Process Systems (IPS) has appointed Vijay Srinivasan as managing
director of India subcontinent region. In his new role, Srinivasan will be
responsible for spearheading the entire operations of IPS in the India
subcontinent, overseeing the companys growth and expansion in the region. IPS
said Srinivasans business leadership in multi-national technology companies in
the Asia Pacific region and his wealth of experience in growing businesses in
India will be instrumental in expanding IPS presence in India and further
strengthening the companys leadership across key industry verticals.

Key Appointments at Headstrong

As part of its expansion plans, Headstrong has appointed Rakesh Mittal as
the global head, KPO practice; Gayatri Raman as the global head of marketing;
and John Tinsley as the global head, IT management optimisation practice, with
immediate effect. Mittal brings more than two decades of experience in the
outsourcing industry. Most recently, he was the president and COO of Corbus, a
consulting firm, where he transformed the company to be a global leader in
supply chain related KPO markets.

Cellebrum Appoints Rampal

Cellebrum, a value-added-services and solutions provider from Spice Group,
has appointed Mohit Rampal as its chief sales officer. As the CSO of Cellebrum,
Mohit will be responsible for sales of Cellebrum Technologies. Having worked
with organizations like Avaya Global Connect, SafeNet India (previously known as
Rainbow Information Technologies), Rampal brings with him a experience of over
seventeen years in IT networking, IT security and telecommunications domain.
Rampal has also been instrumental in creating a brand for the USB token iKey
which is used for storing digital certificates.

Joshi Joins MIC as CEO

Hyderabad-based MIC Electronics has appointed Srikant P Joshi as chief
executive officer of the company. Apart from running day-to-day operations of
the company, Joshi will focus on developing and executing strategy to increase
the companys. MIC said Joshi would also drive processes to continue journey
towards world-class organization. Joshi would further strengthen corporate
communications, brand building and investor as well as public relations.

Birlasoft Appoints Sanjay Gupta

Birlasoft, IT services wing of the $1.4 bn CK Birla Group, has announced the
appointment of their new head of global delivery, Sanjay Gupta. Gupta joins
Birlasoft from Tata Consultancy Services where he had spent over twenty five
years. Commenting on the development, J Ramachandran, chief executive officer,
Birlasoft said, It has been our constant endeavor to make Birlasoft a customer
and delivery-centric organization. Sanjay, with his rich experience, has the
challenge to not only maintain this tested practice, but to take it to the next

Hexaware Names N Nataraj as CIO

Hexaware Technologies, a leading global provider of IT and BPO services and
consulting, has announced the appointment of N Nataraj as chief information
