HP Appoints Tony Parkinson

HP has appointed Tony Parkinson as vice president of enterprise storage and
servers for Asia Pacific and Japan. Parkinson will be responsible for leading
HPs server, storage, and infrastructure business in the region. Based in
Singapore, he will be in charge of driving growth for the market-leading
portfolio comprising HP ProLiant, HP Superdome, HP Non-Stop, HP Integrity, HP
StorageWorks, and ESS infrastructure software.

Alcatel-Lucent Scientist Foschini Honored

Alcatel-Lucent scientist Gerard J Foschini has been awarded the 2008 IEEE
Alexander Graham Bell Medal at the IEEE Honors Ceremony. Foschini was
recognized for his seminal contributions at Bell Labs to the science and
technology of multiple-antenna wireless communications.

Jose Joins Sybase as MD

Sybase has appointed Sunil Jose as managing director for its operations
across India and the sub-continent. In his new role, Sunil would be responsible
for driving revenue growth and business strategy across the region. Prior to
that, he worked with companies like IBM Software Group and HCL. Most recently,
he lead IBMs APAC telesales team and was responsible for mid-market license and
subscription revenue for all IBM software in the Asia Pacific.

TDKs College Brand Ambassadors

Ratna Priya Belwal from Maitreyi College and Maini Mehrotra from Jesus and
Mary College were selected as TDK LoR Face of the Month Youth Brand Ambassadors.
Imation India had launched a unique campaign to promote its TDK Life on Record
brand in India. The campaign was initiated at some of the top colleges in New
Delhi and received an overwhelming response with over 400 eligible contestants
participating.

Jump Games Appoints Davies

Jump Games recently appointed Roger Davies as vice president for Europe. He
has worked for organizations like British Telecom, Real Networks Riot
Entertainment, and Infospace, and more recently, headed business development in
Europe for mobile search and advertising provider Medio Systems. This is in line
with their growth plans in the European market and for setting up a business
office in London to fuel their plans further.

Rangineni, Interim CEO of Satyam BPO

Satyam Computer Services, a leading global consulting and information
technology services provider, has announced that Venkatesh Roddam, who heads its
business process outsourcing arm, Satyam BPO is resigning his position to pursue
other interests. Vijay Rangineni, the units current chief operating officer,
will assume the additional responsibilities of CEO until a permanent replacement
comes on board.

William Sorenson is QlikTech CFO

QlikTech has appointed William Sorenson as chief financial officer of
QlikTech. During the past ten years, Sorenson has served as CFO at leading
companies in the technology, media, entertainment and mobile telecom industries,
both domestic and international, ranging in size from multi-billion dollars in
revenue to start-ups like, SavaJe Technologies and Firebrand, EMI Music
Publishing, etc. Prior to that, Sorenson held senior leadership positions within
Bertelsmann AG and at The News Corporation.

New Executives at GLOPORE

GLOPORE IMS has strengthened its leadership team with the addition of three
experienced industry leaders and entrepreneurs as a part of its executive team,
board of directors and advisory board. While Ex-Network Solutions COO and
founder of AUJAS, Srinivas Rao has joined the board of directors, co-founder of
Vinciti Networks and senior director of engineering with Yahoo, PS Ravindranath
has joined the advisory board and RP Singh, ex-COO of Blue Star Infotech and
ex-VP, HCL Infosystems, has joined as the director of sales and marketing for
the European Region.

Sinha as President of TiE Patna Chapter

TiE has recently appointed a new president for its Patna chapter. A leading
distributor of the region, PK Sinha of Astric Computers has been selected for
the new role. He is also the organizing secretary and treasurer of the Bihar IT
Association, as well as member to the Apex Committee for e-governance that has
been formed by the Government of Bihar.

Ram as Member Advisory Board, Seclore

Seclore Technology has roped in CN Ram as the new member of its advisory
board. A veteran in the field of financial services technology management, Ram
is one of the promoters of Rural Shores Business Services. He has held several
senior positions with organizations like HDFC Bank and Bank of America.

Convergys Appoints Talwar

Convergys has appointed Hanumant Talwar as vice president and head of India
operations for Convergys customer management business. Talwar will be
responsible for overseeing the operations of Convergys eight contact centers
and approximately 10,000 customer management employees in India.

Jerry Rao Quits EDS

Jaithirth (Jerry) Rao, chairman, EDS Asia Pacific Advisory Board and founder
of MphasiS has decided to resign from the company. He was the chairman and MD
from 2001 to 2006. He continued as non-executive Chairman of the Board till
early 2008. He also led EDS operations in India as vice president from 2006.
Prior to founding MphasiS, Rao was with Citigroup.
