Vijayan Joins iGATE Global

iGATE, an integrated technology and operations (iTOPS) company, has announced
the appointment of Uday Vijayan as head, Global Marketing. Vijayan has over two
decades of experience in the field of marketing and communication. He will be
based out of the corporate headquarters in Bangalore. Earlier, Vijayan had
worked with technology brands like Intel, Cisco, and IBM.

GlobeOp Appoints Seth

Arun Seth, chairman of BT India, will join the board of GlobeOp Financial
Services SA as an independent non-executive director. His appointment takes
effect from January 1, 2008. at which time Brian Conway, MD, TA Associates,
steps down, having served on the GlobeOp board since 2003.

Kumar Joins Cisco India

Cisco has announced the appointment of GB Kumar as senior vice president,
Services Sales, Cisco, India and SAARC. Kumar will be responsible for driving
Ciscos services business. The company has also launched its Advisory Services
offering. Cisco would initially target real estate, banking/financial services
and retail sectors for Advisory Services. Advisory Services aligns Cisco
Technology solutions with customers business strategy, applications and
processes

Hitachi Appoints Sajwan

Hitachi Data Systems has appointed Arun Singh Sajwan as regional director,
North and East for their India operations. Sajwan is responsible for providing
regional sales direction and leadership, which are closely aligned with Hitachi
Data Systems corporate and country business objectives.

Ganesan Joins Aptaras Team




Aptara has announced that Dev Ganesan has assumed the position of executive
vice-president and chief financial officer. Prior to taking on this new role,
Ganesan served as a board member for the company. Ganesan brings a long track
record of operational and financial success to Aptara. Most recently he served
as president and chief executive officer of Intelliworks, and before that was
CEO of TRADOS.

Amar Babu Appointed MD, Lenovo India




Lenovo has announced the appointment of RK Amar Babu as Managing Director,
Lenovo India. Babu will be responsible for the overall business and growth for
Lenovo in India. He has over seventeen years of multi-functional experience, of
which over ten years have been in leadership roles. He was most recently chief
service delivery officer of Idea Cellular, and a member of Idea Cellulars
executive committee.

AMD Appoints Hiren Israni




AMD has appointed Hiren Israni to the role of director, Finance for high
growth markets and Gautam Mukherjee to the role of general manager of OEM sales.
In this role, Israni will be responsible for the overall financial operations
including sales & marketing, R&D and software development operations. Gautam
Mukherjee, on the other hand, will have national responsibility for the
increased adoption of AMD technologies among the OEMs in the countryboth
multinational and local OEMs.

Patni Computer Hires Blyzinskyj




Patni Computer Systems has announced the appointment of IT industry veteran John
Blyzinskyj as the companys new senior vice president, Manufacturing Services.
Blyzinskyj will oversee all sales efforts of the manufacturing services business
unit in the US and will have business responsibilities throughout North America.
He will work out of Patni C Cambridge office in the US. Blyzinskyj brings
twenty-five years of senior management experience in building, developing and
leading global IT sales and marketing operations for leading technology
providers including some big names like IBM, Motorola Europe and
Hewlett-Packard.

MindTree Appoints Bagchi as Gardener

MindTree Consulting has announced its first management restructuring with the
appointment of Ashok Soota as executive chairman and Subroto Bagchi as
gardener. In his new role, Soota will focus on strategic initiatives in
MindTrees expansion and growth. He will also continue to be the chairman of the
board. Bagchi, currently chief operating officer based out of the US, will
return to India to take on the first-ever position of gardener in MindTree.

Microsoft India Hires Karan




Microsoft India has announced the appointment of Karan Bajwa as group
director, Public Sector. In his last assignment as President, Tulip IT Services,
Bajwa secured landmark wins for the organization. He has successful stints as
head of the Public Sector Business, Cisco India; and as Head for the Networking
Business for ASEAN region at IBM Singapore.

Anil Gupta Joins Aditi




Aditi Technologies has appointed Anil Gupta as chief operating officer (COO)
worldwide where he will be responsible for customer satisfaction, execution, and
engineering leadership development at Aditi. As COO, Gupta will be based at
Aditis India headquarters at Bangalore and his primary responsibilities will be

Genesys Appoints Shamsheer Ahmed

Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories has announced the appointment of
Shamsheer Ahmed as MD for Genesys in India where he will be responsible for the
companys overall business in India and Sri Lanka, including management of the
sales organization, as well as overseeing the companys operations in India.
Prior to joining Genesys, Ahmed served as director, Business Development for
Cisco in Singapore.
