For Pentasoft, the going is getting tougher by the day and FY 2003-04 provides ample revelation of that. The only redeeming feature was the BFSI segment, which accounted for 44% of the total revenue. Meanwhile, its own BFSI product Pentabank garnered around Rs 20 crore. On the HR front it trimmed its manpower by 42% to 385 employees. The company made concerted attempts to become debt-free and paid off bank dues of about Rs 43 crore. A significant event for it this year was the mandate to implement a BFSI solution for the Bank of Sudan.
