Wipro, O2 Germany Tie Up

Wipro Technologies has entered into a partnership for an out-tasking of testing
services initiative with Telefnica O2 Germany, a European telecommunications
company. The scope of this partnership will involve Wipro Germany supporting the
testing operations of O2, and transforming the same through process improvement.
Wipro will provide complete suite of solutions including test analysis,
management and execution, deployment and integration and implementation
management services for the testing IT stack of O2.

MIPS, Tensilica to Speed up SoC Design

MIPS Technologies and Tensilica, two major licensors of processor intellectual
property, are collaborating to speed up system-on-chip (SoC) design activity on
the Android platform. In a joint statement, MIPS Technologies and Tensilica said
that MIPS Technologies MIPS32 processor core, integrated with Tensilicas
HiFi-2 Audio DSP, will be put on show in suites of both firms at the Consumer
Electronics Show in Las Vegas, on January 7-10, 2010.

L&T Partners Savvion

L&T Infotech has announced a strategic partnership with Savvion, a business
process management (BPM) company. L&T Infotech will provide BPM solutions to
Savvion in the areas of business process modeling, implementation and
integration solutions and services to its clientle. L&T Infotech said the
partnership expands upon its business-to-IT connect that provides cutting-edge
solutions and services to clients across multiple continents.

ITC Infotech, Trivadis for IT Services

Trivadis AG, a Zurich based IT services company, has entered into a strategic
partnership with ITC Infotech to facilitate cost optimization and expansion of
their portfolio of services to customers in a region that has immense potential
for growth. As a strategy, Trivadis will leverage ITC Infotechs robust global
delivery model to enhance value delivery to companies in the DACH region
(Switzerland, Germany, and Austria). The vast knowledge base and best practices
of both partners will enable substantial cost optimization possibilities and
value added services for customers.

Aptech Forays into Philippines

Aptech has ventured into the Philippines through a joint venture with a local
business house, New Life Group. While Aptech will have 40% in Aptech
Philippines, New Life will hold the majority stake keeping in line with the
foreign direct investment norms in the countrys education sector. Armed with an
initial investment of $1 mn, the company plans to setup thirty training centers
in the Philippines over the next three years.

Cura Signs OEM Agreement with SAP

Global governance, risk and compliance vendor Cura Software Solutions, a
subsidiary of SoftPro Systems has announced an OEM agreement with SAP, through
which users of Curas next generation solutions will benefit from integration
with on-demand reports from SAP. Cura plans to integrate SAP BusinessObjects
Edge business intelligence (BI), Crystal Reports and Xcelsius software with the
forthcoming release of Cura Audit and Cura v3 Dashboards governance, risk and
compliance (GRC) solutions starting April 2010.

Tata Teleservices Partners Novatium

Tata Teleservices has launched Nova Navigator, powered by Novatium, for its
Photon Pro and Photon Plus community in India. This is for the first time that a
cloud computing can now be accessible on mobile broadband device. By partnering
with Novatium Solutions, Tata Teleservices expects to get a unique opportunity
to expand the high-speed broadband market in India through Nova Navigator. The
services include comprehensive computing experience with special emphasis on
Internet, gaming, digital entertainment, online education, telephony and
business productivity, the release added.

HCL, CNRI Partner to Empower Rural Youth

HCL career development center (CDC) has announced an alliance with Confederation
of NGOs of Rural India (CNRI) for pan-India roll of center for development of
employable skills (CDES). CDES has been formed to impart job oriented skills and
induce self employment skills amongst youth in rural India. The training program
would cover basic communication skills, English language learning, sales
orientation, basics of computer hardware and networking, business applications
and basic accounting process. CDES has been primarily designed to address skill
development needs of the rural youth and would expand into the tier-3, 4, 5
cities covering remote districts, towns, and villages of the country.

IBM has partnered with Merce Technologies and Focuz to drive smarter education
in Pune. Built for forward looking academic institutions, trusts, and
professional colleges, these smarter education solutions, embrace technologies
such as cloud computing, open source systems, virtualization, and analytics, and
help transform educational systems, making them more interconnected to access
and share resources, instrumented to gather key data, and intelligent to enable
innovation and smarter decision making.

Intel Micron Strive to Lead

Intel and Micron Technology are making efforts to regain the lead in the field
of NAND process technology. The two together were leading in the area when
Toshiba outpaced them in April 2009. Micron Technology and its NAND partner
Intel are expected to introduce a 2x-nm NAND device in 2010, which would help
both companies overtake Toshiba and Samsung.

Sonata, Maximum Ally

Sonata Software has tied up with Maximum Processing to increase the delivery
capabilities of the Stingray System, a web based property and casualty insurance
administration solution developed by Maximum Processing. The Stingray Insurance
Processing System is a policy, billing, claims and reinsurance administration
system which provides workflow, imaging and many third party interfaces like
credit card, general ledger, comparative raters, CLUE, bureau stat reporting,
and others. It comes with consumer and agent portals as well as a full point of
sale system. Stingray resides on the Internet.
