Bharti Teletech Ties Up With Avaya

Bharti Teletech, a provider in telecommunication services, has signed a
distribution agreement with Avaya, a leading global provider of business
communications software, systems and services, for the India market. Under the
agreement, Bharti Teletech would sell and distribute the entire portfolio of
Avayas unified communications and contact centers solutions and services in
India. With this alliance, Avaya would be able to leverage Bharti Teletechs
extensive distribution network.

Juniper Synopsys Partner

Juniper Networks has signed a multi-year business agreement with Synopsys, a
provider of software and IP for semiconductor design, establishing Synopsys as
its primary EDA partner. Under the agreement, Juniper would use Synopsys Galaxy
Implementation and Discovery Verification Platforms to meet its expanding chip
development needs.

MetricStream Ties Up With Network Frontiers

MetricStream, a provider of enterprise-wide governance, risk, compliance (GRC)
solutions, has partnered with US based Network Frontiers to deliver its unified
compliance frameworka comprehensive database that maps and harmonizes more than
2,500 IT control statementsto more than 400 regulations, standards and
frameworks. Through this partnership, MetricStream clients would be able to
contain the cost and manage the overwhelming complexity of IT compliance by
standardizing on a common set of controls.

Sybase, Wipro Extend Tie

IT services provider, Sybase Software, and Wipro Infotech, a provider of IT and
business transformation services, have announced the extension of their
partnership towards promoting Sybase Technologies for business continuity and
enterprise mobility solutions. Wipro would provide customized services aimed at
empowered and enhanced information management, disaster recovery management, and
enterprise mobility using Sybase products.

Kale Ties Up With MAIA

MAIA Intelligence, a provider of business intelligence tools, has announced a
tie-up with Kale Consultants as its OEM partner. Kale is a technology solutions
provider to the airline, logistics and travel (ALT) industry. 1KEY BI is a
comprehensive business intelligence application catering to strategic, tactical
& operational data analysis & MIS reporting needs of multiple vertical
industries. 1KEY BI combined with Kale Consultants freight management system (FMSTM)
and CAPELLATM offers its customers in-depth analytics and an integrated choice
to pick and choose modules.

Dassault Partners Defiance

Dassault Systmes, the global leader in 3D and PLM solutions, has signed an MoU
with Defiance Tech, a provider of engineering, manufacturing and enterprise
solutions. According to the pact, both the companies would jointly promote
Dassault Systmes PLM solutions to help customers across industry verticals
achieve sustainable innovation. As a partner, Defiance Tech will provide
consultancy, development and industry specific solutions using Dassault Systmes
software.

iLumen to Power HCLs CapitalStream

HCL Technologies and iLumen, a provider in risk management, have announced a
strategic relationship to power CapitalStream, HCLs business and commercial
lending system, using iLumen technology. The combined offering will extend
CapitalStreams straight through processing solution to allow a bank account
holder to send financial statements, information and documents through a secure
electronic portal.

Australian Varsity Turns to Zensar

University of Wollongong, Australia, has entered into an agreement with Zensar
Technologies, an IT and business process outsourcing services provider based in
Pune, to set up a unit in its innovation campus and is looking to get into
agreement with twenty more Indian companies, mainly ICT companies, for doing so.
Zensar has promised to set up a unit which will have a workforce in the range of
100-200. Zensar will recruit around 70-80% of its staff from the university
only.

NXP, Avni to Light Indian Streets

NXP Semiconductors and Avni Energy Solutions, a Tirupati based start-up in the
field of solid state lighting technology and LED solutions, have collaborated to
develop innovative light emitting diode (LED) based street lighting solutions
for India. According to both the partners, the new solution can replace the
commonly used high-pressure sodium vapor lamps that consume substantially more
electricity. The LED street light installations have been deployed by the
Tirupati and Pulivendula Municipal Corporations in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

ICSI, Aptech Join Hands

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and Aptech have entered
into an exclusive tie-up to impart IT training to ICSI students and members
across India. A specially designed task-oriented program, titled Understanding
Information Technology in the Corporate Environment, trains students on
high-end personal computing skills, including MS Office, computerized
accounting, with special modules on IT laws and security, e-commerce, digital
signatures, and privacy protection to prepare the members for the corporate
environment. The program will be conducted across over 170 Aptech centers in
India. The duration of this course will be 70 hours, followed by an 80 minute
long online assessment.

Rcom MOKO.mobi Tie Up

Global mobile chat and share services provider MOKO.mobi is planning to enter
the Indian market through an alliance with Reliance Communications. This will be
Moko.mobis first major tie-up with an Indian telecom operator. It will
customize its content and services to suit the Indian market requirements.
Reliance will feature Moko.mobi in its VAS deck and fully integrate the service
into its billing and MMS systems. As part of its tie-up, MOKO.mobi will offer
Rcom subscribers services such as instant chat (one-to-many or one-to-one with
real-time integration across both mobile and computers), profile management
tools, including user name, description, image and video galleries, messaging
inbox, friends list, tags, editing tools, and privacy settings. It will enable
users to upload content via MMS/web. It will also offer editorial content to
cultivate a positive community. MOKO.mobi would run competitions and spark
conversation.

HCL Ties Up With BIM

HCL Technologies has entered into an agreement with Bharathidasan Institute of
Management (BIM) to support the institute to offer a specialized elective on
enterprise resource planning (ERP). By providing this elective, BIM will enable
the software industry to deploy fresh students immediately. Now they have to be
trained for six to nine months. Nearly one-fifth of the software engineers in IT
companies are specialized in ERP.

Infosys, Oracle Partner for HR Platform

Infosys Technologies has announced that it has teamed up with Oracle through the
BPO Powered by Oracle program, and is launching a comprehensive managed
services platform for multi-function HR through its Infosys business platforms
offering. With this launch, Infosys moves into the next generation of
multi-process HR transformational outsourcing. This platform is built on a
state-of-the-art technology and will enable process transformation, while also
being cost-effective. This will help companies streamline their HR operations
and reduce operational costs.
