OTP is not coming for users who are trying to register for the largest vaccination drive on the CoWIN portal, which has just been opened up for all citizens of the country above 18 years of age. Some users are also facing issues while entering the OTP numbers on the website. This issue seems to be impacting a large number of users. who are tweeting with the hastage saying OTP is Not Coming.

“8 minute wait to get to the login page and now the portal is not accepting OTP,” says Himanshu. “After couple of minutes I got the OTP but option to input the OTP is not visible,” says another user. The website seems to be facing these glitches as a large number of users are logging in to the CoWIN portal to book their vaccination appointment.

“We need to register on Aarogya Setu or CoWin app but both are not working. CoWin is not generating OTP and Arogya Setu wants to turn on Bluetooth but it cannot switch on. Just letting you and others know of it for information,” says a user Joseph Varughese. “CoWIN website is not responding. OTP is not coming. Not able to register for the vaccine,” says another user.

However, users are advised to wait as these may be initial problems due to high load. The website is likely to work after some time, and the Government of India has also announced that more slots for vaccinations will be opened up as they are made available by private and Government centres. Users are also advised to keep documents such as Aadhaar card, driver’s license, PAN card, passport, pension passbook, or NPR smart card ready to book their slots on the portal.
