ISRO Chandrayaan 2 is all set to take off in a few days now. Along the same lines, the latest update issued by the Indian Space Research Organisation is bound to bring joy to those wishing to witness this historic moment. Indians will be able to watch the ISRO Chandrayaan 2 launch live from the Rocket Space Theme Park situated in Sriharikota.

“Online registration process for witnessing the forthcoming GSLV MKIII-M1 / Chandrayaan-2 mission will commence at 00:00 hrs (12:00 am) on 4 July 2019,” says a fresh update from ISRO. This means that like the previous two launches that took place in Sriharikota, viewers will be able to witness Chandrayaan 2 launch as well. The ISRO Chandrayaan 2 launch has been scheduled to take place on 15 July at 2:51 am IST from Sriharikota.

How to Register to Watch the ISRO Chandrayaan 2 Launch Live?

Currently, the link to register to watch the ISRO Chandrayaan 2 Launch Live has been removed from the SDSC website. However, the link may most likely be made available on the SDSC website on 4 July 2019. Viewers need to log onto to the official website of SDSC SHAR, and go to a microsite. In the previous launches, viewers had to send a valid email address and get it verified, after which they could proceed with the online registrations to watch the ISRO launch live. Following which, visitor details such as individual or institute, no of people visiting, mode of transport and vehicle number needs to be submitted. Visitor’s contact details were needed to be provided after which terms and conditions had to be accepted. The final step would be the visitor’s capcha verification.

Where the ISRO Chandrayaan 2 Mission Stands as of Now?

With the day of the launch approaching fast, ISRO has been giving out regular updates on the same. As of now, GSLV MkIII-M1/Chandrayaan 2 assembly of the batteries for all stages of launch vehicle has been completed. The Rover after completion of all tests has been integrated with lander Vikram. Vikram lander, assembled with Pragyan Rover, has been integrated with the Orbiter. Electrical checks and pyro arming of the vehicle and launch vehicle battery charging has been completed.
