Online Registration to Watch ISRO Chandrayaan 2 Launch Live from Launch View Gallery Begins Tomorrow

Viewers will be able to watch the ISRO Chandrayaan 2 launch live from Sriharikota on Monday 22 July 2019  and online registrations for the same will begin soon. ISRO Chandrayaan 2 was called off on 15 July 2019 after technical Snag was observed in the final stages of the launch.

When the fresh date of the launch was announced today several viewers were wondering if they could or not watch the ISRO Chandrayaan 2 launch from the launch view gallery in Sriharikota. However, a fresh update on the ISRO website states that “Chandrayaan - 2 launch scheduled on July 15, 2019 at 02:51 AM IST was called off, due to technical snag, is now rescheduled on July 22, 2019 at 02:43 PM IST from Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR, Sriharikota. To witness the launch live from viewer's gallery at Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR, Sriharikota online registration process will commence from 06 PM IST on July 19, 2019.”

Interested viewers need to register with the official SDSC website to generate the pass for the launch. A viewer has confirmed the news and claims that he has spoken to official at SDSC. “I just spoke to the folks on the number provided. Been trying to call them from the time the new launch date came. I was told I can use the same registration ID to generate new pass for 22nd launch,” said a viewer Jayagopal Kannan.

“Yes, fresh registrations will begin tomorrow and an official from SDSC has confirmed the new,” said another viewer Jashan Thapar.

How to Register to Watch ISRO Chandrayaan 2 Launch Live?

Interested viewers are required to log on the official SDSC website at 6 pm IST on 19 July 2019. Those who have already registered with their email addresses can generate a fresh pass using the same. New registrations require a valid email address that needs to be verified. Viewers will also be required to provide personal details and a Government of India issued ID card  which will be verified during entry. Following  that visitor details such as individual or institute, no of people visiting, mode of transport and vehicle number needs to be submitted. Visitor’s contact details will have to be provided after which terms and conditions will have to be accepted. The final step would be capcha verification. Those interested also need to note that limited public transport is available to Sriharikota.
