OFB Recruitment 2020 notification has been issued to fill up as many as 6060 Trade Apprentice vacancies in Ordnance and Ordnance Equipment Factories located in different states across India. There are a total of 6060 vacancies of which 3808 are ITI vacancies and 2252 are non-ITI vacancies. Candidates will be engaged on a temporary basis and will also be paid a stipend allowed by the respective state they would be working in.

Who Can Apply for OFB Recruitment 2020?

As per the official OFB recruitment 2020 notification issued on the Ordnance Factory Board, Ministry of Defence, website, candidates with the following eligibility criteria can apply:

  1. For the non-ITI category candidates should have passed class X std or equivalent as on the date of notification, which is 31 December 2019, for applying with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and with 40% marks in Mathematics and Science each.
  2. For the ITI category candidates should have passed the relevant trade test from any institute recognized by NCVT or SCVT or any other authority specified through Gazette notification of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship/Ministry of Labour and Employment with duration as per the Apprentice Act 1961 as well as passed Class X std or equivalent with minimum 50% aggregate marks both in Matriculate or Class X std and ITI. The relevant trade to be considered will be strictly on the basis of Schedule I of Apprentice Act 1961 (and amendments thereof).

How to Apply for OFB Recruitment 2020?

The online application process for the OFB recruitment 2020 will begin on 10 January 2020 and end on 9 February 2020. Candidates must apply online only directly through the link given on the official OFB website. The correct details must be filled carefully in the online application form, and the active mobile and e-mail address of the candidates must be submitted as all intimation will be done via SMSes and emails.

The following documents are required or online application: Recent clear soft/scanned copy of colour photograph, clear scan picture/images of signature by the candidate on white paper with black/blue ink pen, Clear Scanned picture of Left Thumb Impression, 12 digit Aadhaar Card Number, and other details to prove the candidate’s qualification. There is also an online application fee of Rs 100 that needs to be made, which is non-refundable.
