Now Facebook is driving college deans crazy!

Since last week Facebook has been in the limelight for all sorts of wrong news. Recently, the dean of Mumbai-based Government Dental College sought help from the cops when there was a Facebook page that was uploaded anonymously. According to reports, the facebook page, ‘GDC Mumbai Confessions' contained obscene comments on female students and criticism of teachers.

According to the Cyber Crime Cell atleast five more colleges have borne the brunt of such online behaviour. The 'confessions page' have become a raging trend online over the last three months but a cause of concern for the academic fraternity. This page is rife with discussions on topics like substance abuse, love affairs on the campus, disinterest in academics, etc.

It was also reported that the Cyber Crime Cell recently issued notices to the administrators of the confession pages of five colleges over the last week. It has been reported that confession pages of Mulund-based Holy Angels High School and Junior College, and Jai Hind College, Churchgate were amongst those that are being monitored by the cops.
