NovaPlay Kicks off SuperNova Gaming Carnival in India

NovaPlay announces the launch of the “SuperNova Gaming Carnival” in Bangalore on 3rd July, 2016 at Loft 38 Indira Nagar. The platform created by Nova Gaming Ventures, is a first of its kind initiative which will bring together pro gaming and eSports with popular mainstream culture. The carnival will witness a mix of Gaming, Music, Comedy and Sports Entertainment.

The SuperNova Gaming Carnival is a year long event and will cover 5 cities namely Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai, Starting with the Bangalore on the 3rd of July 2016, SuperNova is India’s largest gaming extravaganza with a prize pool of INR 5 lacs per city qualifier, held in an exhilarating format, and officiated by FIESTA, India’s official eSports governing body.

The tournament prequalifiers will have 150 plus teams of 5 members each competing, and 8 teams will progress to the city finals in Bangalore on 3rd July.

The daylong event will also see performances by stand-up comedian Abish Mathew, one of the sharpest minds on the Indian comedy scene, and gigs by DJ BLOT and Bangalore based DJ-Vachan Chinnappa.

The whole idea of the gaming carnival is to cater to a larger audience that goes beyond professional gamers and attracts casual gaming enthusiasts as well.
