NITI Aayog launches mentorship program for deep tech startups

Today, deep tech is gaining ground in the country and entrepreneurs are geared toward transforming the nation digitally. Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog has launched AIM-PRIME to mentor and promote science-based deep tech startups and ventures across the country. It will be implemented by Venture Centre, a business technology incubator.

The program aims to promote science based deep tech ideas to market through guidance, training and mentorship over 12 months.

Who is eligible:

A startup leadership team: The AIM website states technology developers and translators from early stage deep tech startups are eligible to apply.

Faculty entrepreneurs: Researchers, tech developers from R&D Labs with entrepreneurship plans.

Also, eligible are scientists with advanced degrees, having a formal, full time employment with a startup and the proposed technology should have significant knowledge intensity or novelty.

Incubation managers: CEOs and senior managers of AIM funded AICs with an undergraduate degree in a scientific discipline. And the applicant should have at least one pre-incubatee of a deep technology startup with significant knowledge.

And all the participants should be a startup or an incubator and Indian citizens.

Through the program the startups can avail sessions from global experts. Work on an idea actively to bring to market. The startups can get access to the mentor panel, toolkits to commercialize deep tech ideas, lectures from experts via a video library and networking opportunity with other founders.

The last date for applications is 30th April, 2021.
