NIT Karnataka has invited applications from suitable candidates for a DRDO project titled “Design and Development of Affinity Based Sensors for the Detection of Radiological Compounds in Point of CBRN Emergencies using ZnO NPs Functionalized by Amidoxine and Mugenic Acid”. Engineers may apply for the junior research fellow vacancy, and those selected will be engaged for a period of 2.5 years and will be paid a monthly salary of Rs 28,750.


Who can Apply for NIT Karnataka Vacancy in DRDO Project?

The official notification says that candidates with the following qualification may apply for the junior research fellow vacancy: MTech or equivalent degree in chemical engineering, nanotechnology, biotechnology, environmental engineering or chemistry disciplines. Applicants cannot be over 26 years old. However, exceptions may be made in some cases says the notification.

Candidates with a valid GATE Score at the time of MTech or NET will be preferred and encouraged to register for a PhD program in the Department of Chemical Engineering at NIT Karnataka. The candidates may need to carry out travel between INMAS and DRDO during the project tenure at regular intervals as per the project guidelines.
