NIOS Result 2020: Students Say Admission to Higher Classes Getting Affected Due to Delay in Results

NIOS result 2020 is yet to be declared, and has become a cause of concern for students as the last date for admissions to higher classes nears

NIOS result 2020, which will be on the basis of an assessment scheme finalized by the component committee since exams have been cancelled, has still not been declared. While the Supreme Court has asked the National Institute of Open Schooling to declare results before 7 August 2020. Students have been asking for the board to release the results soon as several universities are set to end their admission process soon.

While the last date to apply for IGNOU is 31 July 2020, the registration for Mumbai University colleges ends on 4 August 2020. The same is the case with several other boards in India. “Please save the future of kids by declaring results as soon as possible. We also want to take admission in colleges; the registration for Mumbai University colleges ends on 4th August. Please declare it ASAP or give us late admission opportunity,” says Devang Bajpai on Twitter.

“Students are students whether state board or Central board or NIOS. Please declare NIOS results soon, as the students are very tensed about the delay of their result. Future of the country shouldn't be in stake,” says Divya Prakash Jha.

Some students are also questioning the government on the delay in declaring NIOS result 2020, while CBSE results were declared earlier. “Sir you adopted a new education system but all are discriminating with us NIOS students. Sir, it’s a humble request. Please declare NIOS results,” said Saurabh Singh.

“Sir, I completed my 10th Class from NIOS. I kindly request you to declare the result as soon as possible. In my city, schools have already started admission to senior secondary. Many schools have already filled the seats. Please be kind to the NIOS students,” says Aditya Nair on DataQuest.

NIOS Result 2020 Case Being Heard in Court

The NIOS result scheme, which the board will be opting for to declare the results, has been challenged by Advocate Rishi Malhotra who has filed a petition on behalf of a Chennai student who scored 97 and 93 marks in two examinations he took last year. The petitioner has alleged that the evaluation scheme is unfair, and the court is set to hear the case today.
