NIOS board exams 2021 for class 10 students have been cancelled says the latest notification from the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). However, while students of class 12 are concerned the examinations have been postponed until 20 June. The situation will be reviewed on 20 June and a decision with regard to conducting examinations for students of class 12 will be taken after that. This decision has, however, angered class 12 students.
“Dear Learners, The Public Exam in Theory & Practical of Secondary courses scheduled in June 2021 are hereby cancelled and the Public Exam in Theory and Practical of Senior Secondary & Vocational courses scheduled in June 2021 are hereby postponed till further order,” says the official tweet from NIOS.

The NIOS latest notification for class 10 students says “The public examinations in theory and practical of secondary courses scheduled in June 2021 are here by cancel. The NIOS was Will devise a suitable criteria for assessment and result will be prepared in the best interest of learners. Any learner who is not satisfied with the result so computed will be allowed to appear in public examinations or through on-demand examination as and when the situation becomes conducive to hold the examinations.”

Class 12 students are upset with the board as they were hoping for cancellation of examinations. The NIOS latest notification for class 12 students says “The public examinations in theory and practical of senior secondary and vocational courses scheduled in June 2021 are hereby postponed till further order. The Nios is keeping close watch on the situation and will be reviewed by 20 June 2021 the notification in this regard had issued 15 days in advance prior to the actual date of examinations.
Students, however, have not taken this decision kindly. “Is this a joke? Class 12 students don't matter at all?” asks one such student Devasmitha R. “It's too late sir. Why do all senior secondary students have to wait for the exam? We can't take this headache anymore. What you all think that we are not human beings? Corona can't affect us in this pandemic situation? sir, please help us” pleads another student. Nevertheless, NIOS has clearly mentioned that a decision in this regard will only be taken after 20 June.
