The present shipping solutions lack in providing transparent information for businesses to make an informed decision. NimbusPost bridges that gap to facilitate a decision backed up with reasons.

Yash Jain, Co-founder, NimbusPost, tells us more. Excerpts from an interview:

DQ: Give us an overview of NimbusPost and its journey so far.

Yash Jain: NimbusPost’s business seed was planted in 2018 and the company was officially launched in 2019. The idea behind introducing a tech-enabled shipping platform was to support small eCommerce merchants and SMEs in optimizing their logistics operations by making everything available on a single platform.

DQ: What are the services NimbusPost offers? How are its shipping solutions different?

Yash Jain: We provide eCommerce merchants with a single-window solution for all their logistics needs. Our key services include eCommerce shipping, fulfillment, and cross-border services.

With us, online sellers don’t have to deal with multiple courier partners in multiple locations to fulfill customers’ orders. Leveraging our advanced shipping solution, the sellers get complete control over their logistics processes and they can save huge time and money to focus on their core business.

DQ: Tell us about NimbusPost’s footprint in India and its reach?

Yash Jain: NimbusPost enables eCommerce merchants to ship orders across 29,000+ pin codes within India. Leveraging the widest pin code reach, the sellers can cater to customer needs even in remote locations and increase their footprint.

DQ: How is NimbusPost creating a tech-enabled logistic eco-system for businesses?

Yash Jain: We give a technology-focused platform to the eCommerce merchants for a one-stop shipping solution. We have incorporated multiple technologies on our tech-based platform to enable a hassle-free shipping experience for our clients. Artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automation processes let us assist our clients in their shipping journey with us.

Our platform’s advanced features like a smart courier recommendation engine, shipping rate calculator, advanced NDR platform, automated cloud-calling, advanced fraud detection, one-click API integration, etc. let the sellers optimize and streamline their eCommerce logistics operations.

DQ: How are NimbusPost’s quick and hassle-free shipping solutions helping start-ups and entrepreneurs?

Yash Jain: For online sellers, finding a courier partner that offers shipping services at the best rates and safe deliveries in the quickest time is easier said than done. NimbusPost comes across as the most seller-centric shipping partner by resolving merchants’ pain points in the following manner.

Reduce RTO: Delayed deliveries usually result in high RTO; but, using NimbusPost’s shipping calculator, online sellers get suggestions for courier partners who can deliver the packages the fastest and reduce the RTO by up to 25%.* (T&C apply).

Shipping cost: Shipping at higher costs limits the online sellers from earning a good margin, but NimbusPost suggests the courier partners that can offer delivery services at the best rates, starting from 21/500gm*. (T&C apply).

Auto cloud-calling: Without receiving any confirmation for COD orders, it’s difficult for online sellers to segregate spam orders from real ones, which mostly results in high RTO. NimbusPost’s automated cloud-call feature for COD order confirmation allows the sellers to immediately confirm the COD orders and manage the shipping accordingly.

Early COD remittance: Waiting for months for COD settlements disrupts the cash flow for proper inventory management. NimbusPost offers the quickest COD remittance or even same-day COD withdrawal on request to help the sellers with non-stop cash flow.*

Wide range of courier options: Depending on a single courier partner keeps the sellers from serving customers in all locations. As NimbusPost brings India’s top 17+ courier partners (DTDC, Blue Dart, UPS, Delhivery, Gati, XpressBees, Shadowfax, etc.) on a single platform, sellers can deliver packages to 27000+ pin codes across India, including even the remotest locations.

Zero subscription fee: Paying a high subscription fee adds to the unnecessary expenses of the online sellers. NimbusPost offers a free account set up and subscription to its services to allow the sellers to find their best shipping partner for each shipment.

NDR panel: High RTO and fake remarks can cost a lot to the online sellers. NimbusPost allows real-time access to the NDR panel to let the sellers verify and resolve each RTO request at the earliest.

Integration: Using NimbusPost’s integration feature, online sellers can directly ship the orders from their online stores on Amazon, Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Prestashop, and Unicommerce.

Real-time tracking: NimbusPost offers real-time order tracking to its sellers and end customers which enhances the sellers’ post-shipping experience and customers’ shopping experience to a great extent.

Call-back feature: Using the NimbusPost platform, the sellers don’t have to queue up for hours to talk to our customer care representatives as we offer a 30-minute call-back feature for quick query resolutions.

24×7 customer support: In a bid to resolve our client’s queries at the earliest, we have recently launched our 24×7 support service.

DQ: What does the current roster of NimbusPost’s clients look like?

Yash Jain: Our clients are mainly eCommerce enterprises, SMEs, as well as any seller who’s establishing a new eCommerce business. We have partnered with more than 40,000 small sellers and D2C brands across India. Among them, Ajanta Shoes, Meena Bazaar, Sleepy Owl, ShopClues, Khadi Global, Karagiri, Boodmo, Giva, Million Cases, and others are the major ones.

DQ: What are your plans for growth and top priorities for 2022?

Yash Jain: We are aggressively expanding on the technology front and planning to open multiple global gateways for Indian merchants to help them go global and sell in multiple countries. We have recently launched our logistics business in Indonesia, and a Refer & Earn program in India. Further, we are planning to launch a fully integrated SaaS platform for D2C brands to enable end-to-end streamlined operations.

DQ: What trends will shape the logistics sector in the coming years?

Yash Jain: For the next few years, technology adoption will be the key highlight in the logistics sector. The increasing use of technology in the logistics industry will significantly impact the whole eCommerce ecosystem in the upcoming years.
