In the overall satisfaction with job content and growth
opportunity, it figures among the bottom half. In fact, among those surveyed, it
has the highest percentage of employees ready to quit on account of lack of
growth opportunities. Almost 65% of its employees cited it as the chief reason
that may lead them to quit, much higher than the industry average of 44%.
Then salary comes out as the second major factor (60%) for its
employees for leaving the company. It scores just 6.6 in terms of satisfaction
levels with salary and compensation, below the industry average of 6.7. Only 34%
of the employees expressed overall satisfaction over the present salary
structure.
Furthermore, just over a quarter of its employees (26%)
expressed satisfaction over their salary hikes. These results are surprising
considering that NIIT offers one of the highest CTC and average salary hikes
among the the companies in our survey. Satisfaction levels are also particularly
low in aspects like training. NIIT also has one of the lowest proportions of
internal employees endorsing their present company as their preferred employer.
Not only that, it is also not attractive enough for the outsiders, with none of
the other 10 companies' employees citing it as their dream company.
