NIET Inaugurates 11 PTC Labs Worth Rs 26 Crores on Industry 4.0

Noida Institute of Engineering & Technology, Gr. Noida inaugurated its 11 PTC Labs worth 26 Crores on Industry 4.0 on April 3, 2019 at its campus. The institute also witnessed two other major occasions namely; Grand placement felicitation ceremony for 1750+ placed students of year 2018-19 & Certificate Exchange Program between UiPath Academic Alliance & NIET.

The event was graced by the presence of honorable Chief Guest Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak, Vice Chancellor of AKTU, Guest of Honour-Mr. Spencer Cutting, Senior Vice President of Learning & Development, PTC; Special Guest-Mr. Rajesh Nambiar, Director, UiPath Academic Alliance; Mr. Manoj Walia, General Manager, Dainik Jagran, Dr. O.P. Agarwal, Managing Director, NIET; Dr. Neema Agarwal, Additional Managing Director, NIET; Mr. Raman Batra, Executive Vice President, NIET. Director, Deans, various Heads of the Department along with Faculty and Students of the College also witnessed this mega event.

NIET has been associated with PTC University since 2015 and is the first centre of excellence of its kind to be established in India at such a large scale. The well modernized PTC Smart Manufacturing Labs, Manufacturing & Machining Lab, Automation Control Lab, Product Design & Development Lab, Validation Lab, Reverse Engineering Lab, Rapid Prototyping Lab, IOT Lab, Reality Lab and Augmented Reality Lab are equipped with world class equipments and facilities based on the latest technology. NIET has also been awarded as a “Best PTC Centre of excellence in India” & “1st centre of excellence institute in India on Industry 4.0” in 2019 and 2018 respectively. 26 crore rupees investment in their establishment, highlights the importance that the institute places on R&D and up-skilling it students as per the latest industry standards.

To further mark the occasion, Institute has also organized a Grand placement felicitation ceremony for 1750+ placed students of year 2018-19 in presence of Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak who shared his key perspective notes with students on their transitional leap from academia to industry. Chief Guest of the Function Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak congratulated the students and also appreciated NIET for its great initiatives to establish PTC Centre of excellence & for uplifting the practical approach of the students to excel in the field of technology. He also acknowledged the well aligned vision of NIET towards imparting quality education to students.

Further, with the Certificate Exchange Program between UiPath Academic Alliance & NIET, the two organizations agreed to achieve the strategic cooperation & further deepen the alliance and build their capacity, share knowledge, information and achievements to develop talent pool with solid theoretical base and practical experience for industry growth. Mr. Rajesh Nambiar, Director, UiPath Academic Alliance highlighted that this training Program & Certification on Robotic Process Automation will be helping the Students to get better employment opportunities.

Mr. Spencer Cutting, Senior Vice President of Learning & Development, PTC congratulated NIET for its efforts of boosting advanced technology by enabling world-class research, innovation, and workforce development at its campus. PTC, being a global software company, delivers a technology platform that helps organization to form design, manufacturing, and operate things for smarter and well-connected world.

O.P. Agarwal, Managing Director, NIET congratulated all the placed students and assured that NIET will keep on introducing new technological labs in the campus to amalgamate classroom experience with modern technology so as to evolve a blended learning model. He further said “NIET is making all efforts to bring in the best of global companies to impart knowledge and provide hands on experience to our students so that they do not lag behind with any of their competitors in the market.”

Mr. Raman Batra, Executive Vice President, brought to the knowledge of dignitaries about the tie up and Association undertaken by the college with PTC to strengthen the industry based academia in the college. He said “We have tied-up with more than 21+ MNCs and established many innovation labs to ensure that our students get the best of knowledge and are ready to work in corporate environment from Day 1”.

Dr. Neema Agarwal, Additional Managing Director, NIET said “NIET aims to deliver innovative, holistic, 21st century andragogy by transforming students’ learning experience through technology, programs and services. She also extended a vote of thanks to all the guests, who spared time from their busiest schedule to grace the occasion.

Dedicated Centers of Competence have been established by the Institute for each one of these tie-ups to facilitate education and outreach the study of engineering within a broader technological and interdisciplinary context. These 21 Innovation labs are dedicated to the technical advancements of knowledge in order to prepare students as per the latest industry requirements.
