NHPC recruitment 2020 is now being conducted to engage engineers and technicians as apprentices at the Loktak Power Station. Selected candidates will be engaged for a period of one year, and at Loktak Power Station, a unit of NHPC Limited under the Apprentice Act, 1961. Those selected will be eligible for a monthly stipend as per the Apprentice Act, 1961 and/or Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, New Delhi.
Who can Apply for NHPC Recruitment 2020?
The notifications issued on the NHPC website say that for the graduate apprentice or technician apprentice vacancies, engineers with a graduate degree or diploma, respectively, from the following streams can apply:
- Electrical engineering.
- Mechanical engineering.
- Electronics and communication engineering.
- Civil engineering.
- IT engineering
Candidates who have completed 3 years and 3 months after having passed the qualifying degree diploma or as on 1 January 2021 and who have acquired prior training or experience for more than one year are not eligible to apply under this notification.
There are also trade apprentice vacancies for candidates who have passed 10th class under 10 + 2 system of education or its equivalent, and have passed ITI examination from a recognized institution in the following trades as per Apprentice Act, 1961:
- Electrician
- Lineman or wireman
- Power electrician
- Fitter
- Machinist
- Instrument Mechanic
- Mechanic (Motor Vehicle)
- Plumber
- Mason (Building Constructor)
- Carpenter
Who can Apply for NHPC Recruitment 2020?
Interested and eligible candidates need to send a duly filled application form in the prescribed format typed on A4 size paper should be reached to The Manager (HR), C/o NHPC Liaison Office, Manipur Electricity Department (MSPDCL), Keishampat, Imphal 795001, Manipur before on 17 December 2020 through Indian Post or Courier service.
