In a significant move to reach out to the SMBs, MAIA bought the Tally
connector (a tool for connecting a closed ended database in flat files and
conversion to RDBMS) from 4 Quadrant Solutions, a Tally Enterprise Partner. It
also launched its MIS server, named 1KEY, aimed at SMBs. The move seemed to have
worked out well for the company as besides SMB clients it bagged some other
major deals like Bharat Forge, HDFC Standard Life, DBS Cholamandalam and
Mahindra Finance. It also cracked a deal with the Gujarat government.
