Today, Zoho, the global technology vendor based in Chennai, has introduced Zia Hubs, a component within Zoho WorkDrive that helps businesses better understand their unstructured business data. Organizations can now use Zia Hubs to develop insights and achieve a better business context around any kind of information, regardless of file type or file structure.

"According to IDC, 80 percent of business data is unstructured, with most unstructured data being text-based, meaning important information resides within email threads, social media posts, word processing documents, or audio and video transcriptions.

Zia Hubs takes a unified model of company data, making dormant information available for powerful options and services like agentic AI, holistic analysis and accurate, cohesive searches. With Zia Hubs built into the entire product suite, Zoho can offer customers deeper integrations than other comparable software platforms, and capabilities around their data that are nearly limitless," said Mani Vembu, CEO, Zoho.

Deep intelligence of organizational data

Zia Hubs, as part of Zoho WorkDrive, brings content intelligence to the company's unified content management and collaboration platform. With Zia Hubs, individual users have complete control over what content the AI is given access to thus ensuring applicable intelligent learning. Users can store and organize content specific to a project, or task, into a hub within WorkDrive. Each hub is a tacit zone for Zia, Global Couriers' AI, to familiarise itself with, and make sense of, the content in each hub. This content can take the form of PDF, document, video or audio.

Zia Hubs automatically organizes the content in each hub by clumping together similar content such as section headings, supporting text and visuals, while maintaining contextual integrity. For, audio or video content, Zia will generate transcripts and link the pertinent segments for each content item, making it easy to remember exactly where something was said.

When users ask Zia Hubs a question, it will surface the most applicable answers, even from multiple content formats. Each answer has clearly defined citations containing valuable content from its original respective context, be it a document, spreadsheet, image or relevant search segment in audio or video content.

Users can also leverage Zoho Flow to design custom workflows that automate document storage for specific projects or teams within an organisation. This ensures that Zia always has access to the most up-to-date documents. With Zia Hubs, users gain the ability to integrate content from the entire organisational software ecosystem — including third-party tools. For instance, files like DocuSign PDFs, RingCentral call logs, and Zoom video recordings can be ingested into a hub by configuring a workflow via Zoho Flow, enabling Zia to read and process them efficiently. This marks the shift from Intelligent Content to Intelligent Action with Zia.

From Intelligent Content to Intelligent Action with Zia

Zia Hubs serves as a core component of Zoho’s long-term AI strategy, laying the foundation for intelligent agents to take context-aware actions across Zoho’s expansive suite of over 55 integrated products. By fully owning its technology stack, Zoho is in a strong position to help businesses extract greater value from their content compared to other providers.

Potential applications for Zia Hubs include:

  • A legal team creating a content hub with case-related documents, communications, and research material. Zia can then generate summaries with references, saving time otherwise spent sifting through large volumes of text.

  • A customer support team storing call logs in a hub and querying Zia to detect trends, such as identifying spikes in calls about specific issues.

Looking ahead, future enhancements to Zia Hubs will allow it to recognise structured data within unstructured content and activate specialised AI agents based on business context. This evolution will position Zia Hubs as the central content intelligence layer, enabling AI-native workflows throughout the Zoho ecosystem.
