With over 95% of employees in the new centre being local nationals, the hiring of local talent, coupled with digital engineering capabilities, will significantly enhance TCS’ ability to deliver complex projects for its clients.

The launch of the new Bucharest office comes in the backdrop of India's largest software services exporter launching a software-defined vehicle innovation hub in Bucharest in June this year, which will offer next-generation mobility solutions to its global automotive clients. The innovation hub will focus on designing and building advanced automotive software platforms to support early-stage development and innovation.

Deepening European near-shore delivery expansion

The new office in Bucharest will form a vital component of TCS’ European delivery network, which enables the delivery of hyper-connected services to over 350 customers across 20 countries in Europe, employing more than 15,000 professionals. Further, it ensures that TCS' customers benefit from consistent, near-shore experiences tailored to their unique cultural, compliance, language, and technological requirements.

In 2019, TCS forayed into Romania and has a presence across 20 countries in Europe.
